We are Hyatt Workers United

Last fall, we attempted to organize a union in order to win improvements on the job. We all work hard to provide top-quality service to our guests. In order to do that, we believe we need a voice as workers so we can advocate for ourselves and make our workplace better.

Unfortunately, our employer responded with a vicious anti-union campaign. They fired, threatened, and ostracized union supporters. Many were fired, and many more were pushed to quit as a result of management abuse and mistreatment.

This May, our local NLRB region found merit to our allegations that the Hyatt committed numerous unlawful acts to break our union. Due to the severity of the hotel’s violations, the NLRB is even pursuing a rare bargaining order to require the hotel to recognize our union.

However, the legal process is lengthy and uncertain. We believe that when an employer like ours refuses to recognize our right to organize, it is up to our community to hold them accountable.
